Dr. Avijit Basak is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Health & Biomedical science at World University of Bangladesh , where he also serves as a Training coordinator of Center for professional Development ( CPD). Currently, he has been also working as a Physician in the Department of Dermatology & Venereology at International Medical College hospital.He has more than 10 years experience in public health research, project management, Teaching & Medical Training profession . Dr.Avijit is very passionate about teaching.
Dr. Avijit has achieved MBBS from East west Medical college hospital, MPH from Atish Dipankar University of Science & Technology, MSS in Gerontology & Geriatrics from Dhaka University, Diploma In Ultrasound from Daffodil International University & Special Training on Sexual Medicine and Infertility from india.
Dr. Avijit’s research interest is maternal & child health, Nutrition,reproductive health, Infectious diseases, old age care, and chronic diseases.
Prior to joining the department of Public Health,he worked in OGSB Hospital as a Training officer, Then he joined in Social Markeing Company and USAID Projects as a Quality Assurance Associate ( QAA).
He is currently involved in different collaborative research projects & medical Training.
