The Department of Biomedical Science and Engineering is committed to global standards in health sciences education and research. Our academic memberships and institutional affiliations support a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration in biomedical research, public health, and healthcare technology development.

The Department is actively pursuing recognition from international bodies that promote excellence in health sciences and biomedical education. While formal accreditation pathways are being developed, our curriculum aligns with global standards in public health, epidemiology, and biomedical engineering practices.
We maintain academic collaboration with institutions and networks dedicated to advancing health sciences in the region and beyond. Our faculty engage in joint research, training programs, and knowledge exchange with leading public health organizations and medical research centers.
The department is a proud academic member of the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), which supports interdisciplinary leadership and institutional development across South Asia. This membership facilitates partnerships in health systems management, community health programs, and capacity-building initiatives for healthcare professionals.
In addition, World University of Bangladesh holds institutional membership in globally recognized organizations including the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), and the International Association of Universities (IAU). These affiliations strengthen our academic credibility, foster international research collaboration, and provide students with opportunities for global exposure, exchange programs, and recognition of qualifications worldwide.
We are also building strategic ties with public health networks such as the World Health Organization (WHO) collaborating institutions, and regional bodies focused on disease control, health innovation, and sustainable development goals (SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being).
